Happy Easter

No, that isn't dandruff that Hooli's sporting, it's snow!

This was the scene I woke up to this morning! Lovely. Half an hour after taking this picture it all melted, which is just as well, since I didn't want to be snowed in. My cousin and his wife were coming on one of the very few trains that was actually running from London. They arrived, we had a lovely day visiting at my mother's house. My brother came with his family, and we had our annual Easter Egg Fight (no we don't chuck raw eggs at each other, we try to smash each other's hard boiled eggs). Last year we won, this year, they did.

Today I realised that in all the years I've spent in England (off and on, a total of 19) I've woken up to find it snowed overnight on Christmas Day once, and on Easter Day twice. So at the moment, Easter is in the lead.

Great pictures:) espcially the one with the dog. I don't think I would be happy with snow for Easter. Here in the desert it is already pretty warm and everything is in full bloom.

I still have a back yard full of snow, and there was even more, about 1/2 inch of it, when I woke up this morning. Spring is going to be very late this year in S Ontario!
Lovely dog, bring him over and he can play with puppy Tessa next time she's here for the weekend.

Good Afternoon Dabrah,
Wow, you got some Snow for Easter. It is beautiful. Your dog is a beautiful dog as well. I'm glad yall had a great time on Easter yesterday. It was pretty quiet around here. My Parents did come up for a bit, but that was it. Our girls have outgrown the Easter Bunny, so we don't buy them Easter Baskets or even dye eggs anymore. I do miss those days sometimes tho. I bet yall had fun smashing the eggs. I've never heard of that game before. We had some Snow for Easter but it was back in 1992 I believe. We got a big Snow on Good Friday that year and there was still some left over for Easter. Take care my friend and have a great Monday. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

Snow on Easter - wow! It's sure pretty though, and I'm glad it melted enough for you to get around. Sounds like a great time was had by all with the egg smashing. I've not heard of that tradition either, but what's new? I've lived a sheltered life. hahaha

I agree with all the other posts, that dog is beautiful. What breed is he/she? You had snow on Easter, we had 90 degrees. Amazing.

You are so lucky! We had horrible rain. But we had a lovely Easter. What a nice tradition, throwing hard boiled eggs.
