I went to see Les Ballets Trockaderos de Monte Carlo on Wednesday night, and laughed my way through most of the performance. This troup is 100% male, and they take the parts of both sexes without even bothering to hide chest and armpit hair, and one of the 'ballerinas' was even sporting a pair of glasses in the finale.
Their dancing skills are impressive, and even more so when you take into account the blunders and accidents that are dotted throughout the performance. At one stage a whole line of posing ballerinas came toppling down as a result of a clumsy dancer knocking the first one over. But what was really funny was the way that they picked themselves up and carried on as if nothing had happened.
The Dying Swan is one version I'll never forget, and I can't help wondering if they managed to pick up all of the feathers.
I'm not very keen on ballet, but I really enjoyed this. If you want more information, you can check out their website .

How FUN, Dee. I looked at the website; the costumes are fancy, and some of the men actually look pretty!! I'm so glad you had a great time!! :)
That must have been a wonderful and funny performance. But it's still Art!

I just checked out the website, It's hilarious!
Unfortunately no performance dates in Canada this year, but they were in Ottawa in Feb and I missed it!!!
Sounds like you had a great night out. Nothing can beat that.
I see the "young ones" reached their fund raising goal; that is AWESOME!
Hope you're doing well, Dee. Take care, and enjoy the weekend. (HUGS)
