Four years ago today, I quit smoking, and I haven't touched a cigarette since. I think it's one of the best things I ever did. I read a book called 'Easy Way To Quit Smoking' by Allen Carr through two times, and then I threw away all of my cigarettes and never looked back. It was actually an easy thing to do. Years of trying and failing had made me think that it was almost impossible, and one book changed my whole outlook. It didn't scare me, it didn't threaten me, it just informed me of what I needed to know. This is a book I would recommend to anyone who'd like to quit but think they can't.
Christmas is over, I think. Most of the family have gone their various ways, the decorations are starting to look tired, and I think it's time to take them down.
And as for chocolate, I have to say that I'm sick of chocolate. I have a house full of the stuff, and all I feel like eating now is fruit. I've had chocolate overload. Is that actually possible, or am I fooling myself.?
I also have loads of mince pies, about 10 boxes and tins of biscuits/cookies, and enough cheese and wine to throw a couple of parties. Now, that's an idea.......

Good Morning Dabrah,
Well, I may have to get that book and read it myself. Me and my DH both smoke. It is hard to quit, at least for us it is. I guess we have been doing it so long. Do you have to buy the book or can it be checked out at a local library? Our Christmas Tree and decorations are still up as well. I still have the lights going on my tree. LOL. It just looks so beautiful that I don't want to take it down. I will start on it this next week tho. As for chocolates, mmmm, I love chocolates. My Mom made some Bon-Bon's for me at Christmas. They didn't last long with the girls getting into them. LOL. You could always have a Valentine's Party. That would be a neat thing to do. Take care my friend and have a great evening. May God Bless You and Yours.
Hugs,
Karen H.
I read that book too and it indeed is excellent. I quit smoking 10 years ago....Congratulations to you but beware of all those goodies, they will settle in places you didn't know you had:) I know this from experience.
We took our tree down today...sniffsniff...I hated to but it was a great day here..78degrees right now! Hope you find a place for the goodies. Can some of them be frozen? Stay warn.
Changes in the Wind...I know all about food that settles in places I didn't know I had, it's happened to me too.
Karen...The book may be available in the library, but I bet after you read it you'll want your own copy.
Donna...I took my decorations down, but the tree itself is still up, thought I'd do that tomorrow. It is sad when Christmas is over, it's such a great time of year.
We took our tree down this week. We had had it up for about 6 weeks and it was just time.
Can some of the chocolate be frozen? I would try that with a lot of your left overs.
