Going up - the cost of filling up the car

I took this picture to show how much it cost to fill up my car yesterday. I used an online currency converter to calculate the $ equivalent - and the result was $105 exactly. I don't drive a huge car, it's a Ford Focus.

I think the thing that bugs me about our gas prices is that the $$ goes to line the pockets of the oil companies. If we paid higher prices and our roads and bridges were taken care of better it wouldn't be quite so painful. Thankfully my hubby and I both have small cars that get great mileage and we thankfully live close to work so we can do some pleasure driving.

Oh, whoa that is AWFUL. I hope that lasts you a while, Dee! I'll stop moaning now about $4.00/gallon even though that's a wallop also from my skinny purse.

WOW, that is crazy. We are still at $3.64 a gallon. Ours doesn't change that frequently but when it does, it makes a jump! *HUGS*

We owned our car for five years, and the cost of gas has now doubled. And I thought it was high back then.

Whoa, that has to hurt the pocketbook! I filled up my truck last week and it was also over $100, but it's a truck.

Yep truly scary and what's worse is you spend so much time stuck in traffic burning fuel over there!

My new car is ave about 28mpg and I am so glad we sold the 14mpg Pickup! Our local gas stations are now doing pay before you fill as they have had a few drive offs! The pump won't let you buy more than $99 just in case.

Gasoline is taking over our lives in more ways than one all over the world. I saw where truckers in England have gone on strike.

Yikes!! The Petrol prices are up world wide. I remember the 70's in Ecuador, we paid about 20 cents (in US DOLLARS) per gallon -- that's 5 gallons for a dollar...not today's almost $5 per gallon...okay not quite!!! I don't even know what gasoline is in Ecuador these days.

If you miss Hooli too much, you'll have to get your own little canine companion!!! :)

I made it to London a few years ago, but didn't get to visit the countryside at all. Someday I'm going back!

Thanks for stopping by.
