Adieu Janey

This morning my daughter Christina took her rabbit Janey to the vet, and the vet put Janey to sleep. She'd gradually been losing the use of her back legs for the last couple of months, and things got really bad about a week ago. The vet had tried giving her anti-inflammatories, but even though they helped a little, they didn't do the job. The vet felt that things could only get worse and that Janey would suffer. She was six years old. She was the sweetest thing and we're all so sad that she's gone.

Baby Janey

Janey and Hooli were great pals

Janey liked to run around.

Christina loved her to bits.

Sweet Dreams Janey

Awww it's always a heartbreaker when we have to put a furry bestfriend to sleep. I am so sorry Dabrah and she had the loveliest colouring too and that cute little white patch on her head.

Hugs to you all

So sorry to read this. I had to have my rabbit put down too. He was nine and also had troubled legs. He was a great friend of my cats.

Heartbreaking to lose such a fine friend and part of the family.

Good Morning Dabrah,
I'm so sorry to hear about Janey being put to sleep. I know Christina must have been heart broken by it. My Mom used to have some rabbits she kept a cage on her patio. They were wild rabbits and she finally had to give them away because they were getting too big for the cage. Our girls had even named them. Sorry I didn't get around to visiting after I had posted last week. My DH got home from Canada on Thursday morning and he left out this morning. We have been really busy the last few days. I put up a new post this morning with some pictures. I am out now trying to visit and catch up with everyone. I am looking forward to seeing some pictures from your Barcolena trip. I know I didn't spell that right. LOL. Take care my friend and have a great evening. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

Thanks to all of you for your sympathy and kind words. I've asked my daughter to check out your comments, and I'm sure she appreciates them. I do miss Janey. She loved nothing more than a cuddle, and she was so soft and silky.
