Double power source and single lane

I spotted this street light in a car park in Aylesbury today. It is running on a combination of wind and solar power, and was the only one of its sort in the car park. I guess all the rest are on mains power and this one is experimental. I just thought it was really neat.

I drove down this country road which is called Swans Way on my way to visit my mother. As you can see it's only wide enough for one car, so there are passing places alternating on each side so that you can pull over and wait if you see another car heading towards you. I prefer to drive on this road at night because during the day you can't tell if anything is coming around one of the many bends, but at night you can see their headlights before they come into sight.

Good Afternoon Dabrah,
I love the solar powered light. I wonder if it puts out more light than the other one's do? I love the country where you were going to visit your Mother. It is so beautiful. I don't know if I could handle being on a one lane road. LOL. I'm such a nervous person when it comes to roads and highways. I'm a bigtime backseat driver here. LOL. I always tell other people how to drive. We had a little freezing rain here overnight last night. The roads were in good shape this morning and they had School. Our girls weren't too thrilled about it. LOL. I would like for it to come a good Snow at least once before Winter is over so they can have a Snow day. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

I'd never make it on a one way road. Yeah, I once found myself going the wrong way on a two lane road. It wasn't pretty. hahaha

No, I wasn't drinking (at least that's what I told the cops). :)

Well, Dabrah, if you still have that cute little Alpha Romeo loaner, this road shouldn't be a problem anytime! ;-)

The light post is so cool...I would like to know how the experiment comes out...

That road really is pretty scary, but I've given the Alpha Romeo back and I'm driving my own little Ford Focus, which is such a neat car. I'll see if I can find out about that solar/wind powered lamp.

Hi Dabrah. I stumbled across your comment on one of my posts from quite a while back. So sorry that I didn't reply. How rude of me!
I love the solar powered light, think it's a great idea, wish we had them here in the states. I'd love to visit England sometime, it's a dream of mine!
Blessings to you!

the country lane looks nice, but rather lonely.
I'm glad that you enjoyed the moon images I shared on my blog.
